Anyone done pricing research for MRO parts in defence?

Trying to understand how buyers in defence actually perceive value when sourcing maintenance parts. Not sure if conjoint even works well here given how niche the procurement process is.

Conjoint can work but the sample size issue is brutal in defence MRO — you're often dealing with a tiny pool of qualified buyers who are also hard to access. We've had more luck with in-depth interviews combined with a simple Van Westendorp to anchor acceptable price ranges, then validating with a small discrete choice exercise if you can get enough respondents. The bigger challenge is usually that 'value' in defence procurement is heavily weighted toward compliance, lead time certainty, and supplier accreditation over price anyway, so make sure your attribute list reflects that.
