Anyone tracking how freight companies are handling last-mile costs?

Question

Trying to get a sense of how smaller logistics players are pricing last-mile delivery right now. Wondering if there's decent secondary data out there or if we need primary research.

For secondary data, FreightWaves and Shipmatrix publish decent cost benchmarks, and some of the smaller carriers break out last-mile line items in their earnings calls if they're public. That said, in my experience the secondary stuff gets patchy fast below the regional carrier level — if you're focused on hyper-local players, a round of 10-15 operator interviews will get you further faster.
