Best way to segment EV buyers beyond just income and age?

We keep getting the same boring demographic cuts but they're not super useful for positioning. Curious if anyone's found better segmentation variables for electric vehicle shoppers.

Psychographic and behavioral variables tend to be way more predictive for EV buyers — things like environmental identity, tech adoption stage (early adopter vs. pragmatist), and home charging feasibility. We've had a lot of success segmenting on 'range anxiety level' combined with daily commute distance, since those two together reveal very different messaging needs. Jobs-to-be-done framing also works well here if you want to move beyond descriptive segments entirely.
