How do defence contractors usually handle customer research for classified products?

Working on a project for a defence client and not sure how to run standard market research when so much is restricted. Any experience with this?

Most defence contractors work within cleared focus groups and advisory panels — essentially pulling from a pool of cleared personnel (government, military, existing contractors) rather than the open market. You can still run structured interviews and concept tests, just within that restricted pool. Also worth checking if your client has an existing IDIQ or advisory board setup you can tap into, since they often have pre-vetted participants ready to go.
