From what I've seen, smallholder farmers heavily trust peer-to-peer learning — demo plots and local farmer group meetings consistently outperform digital for initial awareness. That said, don't totally write off WhatsApp/SMS for follow-up once you've built that first in-person trust. Partnering with local agri-extension officers or input dealers as your first touchpoint is usually the fastest way in.
