How do you usually track shifting buyer preferences in the EV market?

Working on a project around EV adoption and not sure if surveys or behavioral data are more useful here. Curious what's actually worked for others.

Honestly, both work but for different things — surveys are great for capturing stated intent and attitudes, but behavioral data (search trends, dealer inquiry logs, configurator usage) tells you what people are actually doing. For EV adoption specifically, I've found combining Google Trends data with quarterly pulse surveys (~200-300 respondents) gives you a pretty solid picture of where preferences are shifting. If you're early-stage on the project, start with behavioral signals to form your hypotheses, then validate with surveys.
