Anyone done segmentation research on home solar buyers recently?

Trying to figure out what actually drives residential solar purchase decisions beyond just cost savings. Would love to know what segments others have found useful.

Did a segmentation study on this about 18 months ago — beyond cost savings, we found three pretty distinct segments: environmental identity driven, energy independence/self-reliance types, and early adopter status seekers. The independence segment was actually bigger than we expected and responded really poorly to purely financial messaging. We used a combo of attitudinal batteries and a latent class analysis in Sawtooth if that helps.
