Anyone used eye-tracking to test packaging design lately?

We're redesigning some shelf packaging and want to know what actually grabs attention. Curious if eye-tracking is worth the cost or if there's a cheaper workaround.

Yeah, we ran eye-tracking for a CPG client last year using Tobii — great data but the in-person lab setup ran us about $8-12k. If budget's tight, look into Sticky.io or RealEye for remote webcam-based tracking, way cheaper and honestly solid for shelf simulation tests. You can also pair it with a simple 5-second test on UsabilityHub to at least validate first-glance attention before committing to full eye-tracking.
