For embedded chips, skip the broad surveys and go straight to procurement interviews — maybe 8-10 conversations to start. They'll tell you real budget cycles, approved vendor lists, and volume thresholds that no survey will capture. Once you have those insights, you can build a tighter conjoint study if you need to quantify preference across a larger sample.
