Best way to segment EV buyers right now?

Trying to figure out if early adopters and mainstream buyers actually need separate messaging. Has anyone done segmentation work on this recently?

Yes, separate messaging is definitely worth it — we've found psychographic segmentation works better than just 'early adopter vs. mainstream' framing. Try splitting on environmental motivation vs. tech enthusiasm vs. TCO/savings focus; those three clusters behave really differently in messaging tests. We ran a conjoint study last quarter with ~500 respondents and the value prop rankings barely overlapped between segments.
