Best way to track how EV sentiment is shifting among older drivers?

We're seeing mixed signals in our survey data and want to dig deeper into the 55+ age group. Wondering if focus groups or ethnographic research would work better here.

For the 55+ group, I'd actually lean toward in-home ethnographic interviews over focus groups — older drivers tend to open up more one-on-one and you'll catch real friction points like charging anxiety that surveys miss. Pair that with a small longitudinal panel (even 20-30 people tracked over 6 months) and you'll see sentiment shifts as they get more EV exposure. Focus groups can work too but watch out for dominant voices skewing the room with this demographic.
