How do you segment EV buyers who are still on the fence?

We're trying to understand what's holding mid-income buyers back from going electric. Not sure if a survey is enough or if we need focus groups too.

For mid-income fence-sitters, I'd start with a survey to quantify the barriers (range anxiety, upfront cost, charging access usually top the list), then follow up with focus groups only for the segments that surprise you. Conjoint analysis works really well here to see how they trade off price vs. range vs. incentives. Two phases sounds like more work but saves you from misreading why people are actually hesitating.
