How do you track equipment utilization rates across different factory sizes?

For segmenting by facility scale, I'd bucket by headcount or square footage first (under 50 employees, 50-250, 250+) since those tend to correlate well with machine complexity. On the data side, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is the standard metric most plant managers already track, so anchoring your survey questions around that makes interviews much smoother. If you can get even 20-30 facility managers per segment, you'll start seeing pretty clear utilization pattern differences.
