Trying to understand if smaller operations are actually buying into this stuff or if it's mostly big players. Would love to know what data sources people are using.

USDA's ARMS survey is your best starting point — they break down tech adoption by farm size and it's free. NASS also publishes some ag tech data worth cross-referencing. From what I've seen, adoption is climbing for smaller ops but mostly entry-level stuff like soil sensors and basic GPS, not the full precision ag stack.
