Best way to research customer priorities for drone defence systems?

Trying to understand what procurement teams actually care about when evaluating these. Would surveys even work here or is it all interviews?

Interviews are really your best bet here — procurement teams in defence are notoriously hard to survey (low response rates, lots of NDAs). Aim for 15-20 depth interviews with a mix of end users and decision-makers, and use a framework like JTBD to tease out the real priorities versus what they say publicly. If you can get to trade events like DSEI, hallway conversations often beat anything formal.
