Best way to segment buyers for industrial equipment under $50k?

Trying to figure out if we should segment by company size or use case — the buyers seem pretty different. Anyone dealt with this in heavy equipment or manufacturing?

In my experience with sub-$50k industrial equipment, use case almost always wins over company size as the primary segment — a 10-person specialty fab shop buys completely differently than a 500-person general manufacturer even at the same price point. I'd run a quick cluster analysis on purchase drivers (downtime risk, ROI timeline, ease of operation) and let the segments fall out naturally. Usually you end up with 3-4 clean personas that map to use case anyway.
