Best way to segment customers for a new home battery product?

For home battery, I'd start with a needs-based segmentation layering solar ownership + grid reliability concerns + income (roughly $75k+ as a cutoff) — those three together tend to be way more predictive than green values alone. Geography matters too but mainly as a proxy for utility rates and outage frequency, so pull in that data if you can. A quick conjoint study with 200-300 respondents in target markets will help you validate which segments actually respond to different value props (backup power vs. savings vs. sustainability).
