Best way to test new packaging concepts with everyday shoppers?

We have 3 packaging designs for a snack brand and need quick feedback. Wondering if a focus group or online survey makes more sense here.

For quick packaging feedback, I'd go online survey over focus groups — faster, cheaper, and you get a much bigger sample. Try a tool like Maze or even Google Forms with a simple side-by-side comparison question, aiming for at least 150-200 respondents. If you want richer insight on *why* they prefer one, add a short open-end after the rating question.
