How do you test price sensitivity for a new snack product?

Launching a premium snack line and trying to figure out the right price point before we go to market. Is conjoint analysis overkill here or worth it?

Conjoint is definitely worth it for a premium launch — the price-feature tradeoffs it reveals can save you from mispricing by 20-30%. That said, if budget's tight, a simpler Van Westendorp Price Sensitivity Meter survey (50-100 respondents, 4 questions) will get you acceptable/unacceptable price ranges fast. I'd pair whichever you choose with a small in-store or online test at 2-3 price points if you can swing it.
