What's a good way to test new snack flavors before a full launch?

We're thinking of rolling out a new line of chips but don't want to commit to full production yet. Has anyone done quick taste-testing research that actually predicts sales?

A quick central location test (CLT) with 75-150 consumers is usually your best bet — you get real reactions without committing to full production. Pair it with a purchase intent question using a 5-point Likert scale, and a 'top 2 box' score above 60% is generally a decent green light. Some brands also run small regional pilots on platforms like PRODUCT(RED) or local pop-up events to get real transaction data before scaling.
