What's a quick way to measure brand loyalty for a new detergent line?

We're launching a mid-tier detergent and want to know if customers would stick with it after the first purchase. Not sure if a simple NPS survey cuts it here.

NPS alone won't cut it for a new launch since you have no baseline to compare against. Try a quick repurchase intent survey right after first use (something like 'How likely are you to buy this again instead of your usual brand?' on a 5-point scale) paired with a 30-day follow-up to see if they actually did. Even a small panel of 200-300 buyers tracked over 6-8 weeks will give you much more actionable loyalty data than a one-shot NPS.
