Best way to segment farmers for a new crop input product?

Launching a soil treatment product and not sure how to slice the farmer audience. Farm size, crop type, region — not sure what actually matters most here.

For a soil treatment product, I'd honestly start with crop type and farm size together — a smallholder growing wheat has totally different buying triggers than a large-scale soy operation. Layer in region second, since soil conditions and input habits vary a lot by geography. Run a quick cluster analysis on those three variables with even 150-200 survey respondents and you'll usually get 3-4 actionable segments pretty fast.
