How are people actually researching home solar these days?

We mapped a solar buyer journey about 8 months ago — biggest finding was that YouTube and neighbor recommendations dominate early awareness, then people deep-dive into Reddit and EnergySage for comparisons. We used a combo of intercept surveys with recent purchasers plus session replay tools on a solar brand's site to see where people actually got stuck. The 'months-long consideration window' is real, so don't underestimate the role of retargeting and email nurture in the mid-funnel.
