How do farmers usually find out about new crop protection products?

From what I've seen in smallholder research, agrodealer reps and neighboring farmers are usually the top two channels — word of mouth is huge in tight-knit farming communities. Extension officers matter too, though their reach varies a lot by region. Trade shows tend to skew more toward larger commercial operations, so I'd start with the dealer network and farmer-to-farmer influence if you're focused on smallholders.
