From my experience, farmers strongly prefer in-person or on-site conversations over surveys — they're hands-on people and trust builds faster when you're standing next to the equipment with them. Short phone interviews can also work well, especially during off-season. I'd skip long digital surveys; response rates tend to be really low with this audience unless there's a meaningful incentive.
