Anyone used patient journey mapping for a telehealth product launch?

We're trying to understand drop-off points in a virtual care flow and not sure if ethnographic research is overkill here. Curious what others have done.

Patient journey mapping was honestly one of the most valuable things we did for a telehealth launch — ethnographic research isn't overkill if drop-off is your core problem, but you can start lighter. Try session recordings (FullStory or Hotjar) combined with 6-8 in-depth interviews focused specifically on the moments where people bail. That combo usually surfaces 80% of what full ethnography would, in a fraction of the time.
